Son Bou

Son-Bou the largest (and many say) finest beach on the island is entered through a short tunnel.

The beach gently shelves into the clear blue of the water with bathing safely regulated by use of a flag system.

Extensive water sports including jet skis, water skiing and pedaloe hire are available along the length of the beach. Son Bou is a relatively new development and great care has been taken to ensure that the resort with its clusters of villas and apartments has retained its pleasant green aspect with a backcloth of wooded hills and an abundance of the original woods remaining amidst extensive landscaping.

At the centre of Son Bou is a square with shops, a supermarket, telephones and also the Club San Jaime – a popular spot with families with its bar, pizza and pasta restaurant, swimming pool and water chute. Other areas of the island are easily accessible from Son Bou with the main backbone road just a 5Km drive away at the town of Alaior, notable as the centre of Menorca's cheese industry!
